What ToolRefinery is

ToolRefinery is a browser-first utility platform for common file and data jobs. The goal is simple: open the tool you need, do the work quickly, download the result and move on.

The first public toolkit focuses on image utilities such as resizing, compression, conversion, cropping, OCR and metadata tasks.

How we build

When a task can reasonably be completed in the browser, ToolRefinery is designed to process it on your device rather than require an upload to a ToolRefinery processing server.

New categories are added when there is a working tool and a clear user job to solve — not simply to increase the number of pages on the site.
